The Calgary Police Service Pipe Band was formed in 1973 by Bill Crabbe who was a Sergeant with the Calgary Police Service, Bill still performs with the band today. The Bands first public performance was in 1975 leading the Calgary Stampede Parade. More recently, the band participated in the New York City Tartan day parade in April 2012.
